April is nationally recognized as Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). During this month, AVI helps the TCNJ community to identify and de-escalate incidents of sexual assault. We also provide programming around healthy sexuality, gender socialization, how to identify and address rape culture, and ways to support survivors of sexual assault.
Due to COVID-19, SAAM 2021 will be held virtually. Throughout the month of April we will have several virtual workshops, participate in Yards for Yeardley virtual movement, promote Denim Day, and focus on a Week to End Rape Culture (WERC) instead of our typical Day to End Rape Culture (DERC) event through our social media platforms. Please scroll to the top of this page to find links to our social media platform in the menu bar. Below you will find our calendar of events as well as some flyers which contain more information about our virtual opportunities. Want to get involved? Have any questions? Email us at oavi@tcnj.edu for support and information!
