Michelle Lambing, LPC, NCC, ACS

Assistant Director for Anti-Violence Initiatives

Licensed Professional Counselor

Michelle (she/her/hers) joined the Division of Student Affairs in 2008 as a Program Assistant for the Alcohol Drug Education Program, Disability Support Services and Anti-Violence Initiatives. Michelle now serves as the Assistant Director for Anti-Violence Initiatives, a role in which Michelle works with students on a daily basis to provide support services for those impacted by power-based personal violence and opportunities for community members to get involved in prevention. As a therapist, Michelle is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and incorporates neuroeducation into her clinical work to help clients understand how trauma impacts their brains and bodies. Michelle also supervises volunteers, interns, student workers, and the SAVE (Student Anti-Violence Education) Peer Educators. This supervisory role is a perfect blend for two of Michelle’s passions: prevention work and student engagement. Her favorite moments are when she programs alongside peer educators, interns and members of our community toward a culture of health and safety. The best example of this is Day to End Rape Culture, which is hosted in April. Michelle feels especially connected to this work in this community, because she attended TCNJ as both an undergraduate and graduate student. Michelle holds two degrees from The College of New Jersey, having earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2008 and her Master’s of Arts degree in Counseling in 2013. Michelle is also recognized as a nationally certified counselor, licensed professional counselor and approved clinical supervisor. Michelle currently resides in Bucks County with her husband and daughter and enjoys filling her free time with family, friends, home improvement projects, reading and baking.
