Message of Hope

About Message of Hope:

As part of a campus-wide initiative, we had a “Message of Hope” table at our CAPS PE events, where we asked students to create and leave a hopeful message for another, and then take with them a message that someone else had written. The aim was simple: bring a smile and sense of hope to another, while leaving with a bit of hope for yourself. We wanted to reach more people, which is why we have created our Tumblr Blog. Please feel free to browse through some hopeful messages left by the Peer Educators and fellow students that have participated in this project. Additionally, you can join in on this project and leave a hopeful message. Messages will be posted to the website after they are reviewed.

Examples of Past Messages of Hope Include:

  • “Only in the darkness can you see the stars.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.
  • “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.” – Bernard M. Baruch
  • “I am too positive to be doubtful, too optimistic to be fearful, and too determined to be defeated.” – Anonymous
